Equality and Diversity Policy Statement

In compliance with the Equality Act 2010, ITS Group is committed to providing fair and equal treatment for all stakeholders and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative of all sections of society and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. All staff are expected to treat everyone with whom they come into contact with dignity and respect and they should be aware of the importance the organisation attaches to equality and diversity.

Safeguarding Policy Statement

We have a statutory duty to promote and safeguard the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, and have due regard to guidance issued by the Secretary of State. ITS Group recognises its legal and moral duty to promote the well-being of children and vulnerable adults, and protect them from harm and abuse and the risk of extremism.

Prevent Policy Statement

We have a statutory duty under Section 26 of the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015 to have “due regard to the need to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism”. We are committed to providing a caring, friendly and safe environment for all of our learners so that they can learn in a relaxed and secure atmosphere. We believe every learner should be able to participate in all activities in an enjoyable and safe environment and be protected from harm. This is the responsibility of every individual employed by, or invited to deliver services at ITS Group.

Customer Feedback, Compliments and Complaints Policy Statement

We are committed to providing an efficient and responsive service to all our customers and stakeholders. By collecting feedback, ITS Group aims to continue to improve our service to our customers and stakeholders – by listening and responding to their feedback, including compliments and complaints. ITS Group collects feedback in a variety of ways - surveys, course evaluation forms, suggestion boxes, social media, etc. ITS Group views feedback as an opportunity to improve our customer satisfaction across all areas of the organisation. Written compliments and complaints may be sent to ITS Group, at Queens Court, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S70 2EG or via email to Verbal compliments and complaints may be made by phone, or in person, to the known point of contact or ITS reception on 01226 216760.

Bullying and Harassment Policy Statement

We are committed to providing a working environment in which staff are given the dignity and respect they deserve. All staff have the right to work for the organisation without fear of bullying or harassment. ITS Group takes any allegation of bullying and harassment very seriously, without prejudice. The procedure aims to ensure that a defined process is in place to deal with an allegation of bullying and harassment. It provides a definition of what constitutes unacceptable behaviour and ensures that the appropriate mechanisms are in place for addressing any issues.

Lockdown Policy Statement

Lockdown procedures should be seen as a sensible and proportionate response to any external or internal incident which has the potential to pose a threat to the safety of staff and students in the college. Procedures should aim to minimise disruption to the learning environment whilst ensuring the safety of all students and staff. As part of our Health and Safety policies and procedures the College has a Lockdown Policy. On very rare occasions it may be necessary to seal off the College so that it is not able to be entered from the outside. This will ensure that students, staff and visitors are safe in situation where there is a hazard in the College grounds or outside the College in the near vicinity. A lockdown is implemented when there is serious security risks of the premises due to, for example, near-by chemical spillage, proximity of dangerous dogs, serious weather conditions or attempted access by unauthorised persons intent in causing harm/damage. Note: in the event of a bomb warning, standard evacuation procedures will be followed.
