Security & Employability Learning Coach

 

Security & Employability Learning Coach – ITS - Permanent - £27,500 to £30,000 per annum


Independent Training Services are going from strength to strength, and as part of our ambitious expansion we are looking for a new Learning Coach to join our busy Adult Skills team. In this rewarding role, you will provide outstanding teaching and learning to help students achieve vocational work-related qualifications in a wide range of subjects including Customer Service, Mental Health, Health & Safety and Security.

The courses operate within South & West Yorkshire in partnership with Jobcentre plus and local employers, helping people move into sustainable employment.

Independent Training Services is part of Barnsley College (Ofsted Rated Outstanding) and is passionate about teaching and learning. Delivering Adult courses within the community can be challenging, but the rewards make the effort worthwhile; we really do change lives. Our new Security & Employability Learning Coach will be a key part of the team, delivering engaging sessions, providing learner feedback, and ensuring students are making expected progress and working towards outcomes.

Role requirements:

  • A teaching qualification (A1 or equivalent)
  • Vocational experience within the Security Industry
  • Level 2 Award in Door Supervision
  • Level 3 Physical Intervention training qualification
  • Level 3 First Aid at Work qualification


What will make you stand out above the rest?

  • Experience of working within the Welfare to work sector, helping the unemployed prepare for work
  • IQA qualification

 

This role is homebased with venue parking costs covered and travel expenses can be claimed after the first 15 miles.
