    • Methods for intolerance diagnosis and treatment
  • Food labelling and packaging:
    • The importance of food labelling
    • Regulations for food labelling
    • Packaging regulations
  • Allergy awareness for those working in the service sector:
    • The signs and effects of allergic reactions
    • How to reduce the risk of an allergic reaction
    • Performing first aid on those who have had a severe reaction
    • Food storage, handling and preparation to reduce allergic reaction risk

Course requirements

Candidates will require the following equipment for distance learning:

  • PC or laptop with a microphone and speakers (a webcam is preferred but not essential)
  • Access to the internet and web browser application (e.g. Google Chrome)
  • An email account for file sharing
