Those who need to be able to exploit the full potential of Microsoft Word to build documents of varying complexities and automate actions with macros.
By the end of the course, you will be able to create online forms, mass distribute documents with mail merge, control long documents and cross-reference data. You will also be able to create standard documents and forms through the use of templates and fields.

- Navigating long documents
- Inserting bookmarks
- Cross-referencing text
- Inserting and editing footnotes and end notes
- Creating and updating a table of contents
- Creating an index
Citations and Bibliographies:
- Adding citation sources and placeholders
- Creating bibliographies
SmartArt Graphics, Inserting and Linking Objects:
- Inserting and formatting SmartArt graphics
- Linking and embedding objects
- Inserting captions and creating a table of figures
Tracking Changes and Document Collaboration:
- Tracking changes and reviewing tools
- Creating, replying, modifying and deleting comments
- Comparing documents
Macros:
- Creating simple macros
- Running macros and macro security
- Attaching a macro to a shortcut key or the quick access toolbar
This course can be delivered remotely or in a classroom environment, to suit your requirements.
Attendees should have a thorough grounding in building documents that include formatting, lists, tables and different page layouts.
Attendees must have the following equipment to attend this training remotely:
- PC or laptop with a microphone and speakers (webcam is preferred but not essential)
- Access to the internet and web browser application (e.g. Google Chrome)
- Microsoft Word installed on the PC or laptop
- An email account for file sharing
- A second screen is ideal but not essential
