Those currently working with Adobe Illustrator, who wish to exploit this software to a fuller extent in order to produce professional, complex illustrations.

By the end of the course, you will be fully conversant with the more intricate functions of Adobe Illustrator and will be able to create sophisticated artwork for virtually any medium.

• Viewing rules, grids and guides.
• Tracing artwork.
• Transforming objects.

• Creating custom shapes.
• Opening and closing paths.
• Using symbols.
• Working with brush libraries.
• Creating perspective drawings.
• Inserting and formatting graphs.

Working with Fills and Colours:

• Pattern fills.
• Adding and removing colours.
• Using other swatch libraries.
• Graphic styles.
• Using the ‘trapping’ technique. 

Working with Effects:

• Transparency.
• Blending modes.
• Blending objects.
• 3-D effects.

Using Actions:

• Playing actions.
• Recording new actions.

This course can be delivered remotely or in a classroom environment, to suit your requirements.

Delegates must have the following equipment to attend this training remotely:

• PC or laptop with a microphone and speakers (webcam is preferred but not essential).
• Access to the internet and web browser application (e.g. Google Chrome).
• An email account for file sharing.

Course attendees should be able to design and create simple documents which include basic drawings and the use of layers and artboards. They should also be able to use simple formatting tools and use cut, copy and paste effectively.
