To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week 2022, we will be taking hosting online events for prospective students and regional employers.

Starting on Monday 7 February, we will celebrate our apprentices, alumni, the employers we work with, and how we will continue to support people and communities.

Throughout the week, we will be hosting a range of events including:

  • The National Apprenticeship Week Big Bang launch.
  • #AskAnEmployer with special guest Heeley Skips.

  • Progression Tuesday – which will focus on future skills and social mobility, sustainable apprenticeships and environmental skills, flexi apprenticeships and opportunities such as Traineeships and Adult Courses.

  • #AskAnApprentice with former Level 3 Health and Social Care apprentice, Leanne Hellewell.

  • Thank You Thursday – where alumni take the opportunity to thank the people who have helped them develop along the way.

  • Celebration Friday – we will share good news stories for both employer and apprentices that have happened in the last year.
  • Employer Saturday – is full of case studies to show the wide range of roles and experiences that apprenticeships can offer.

  • #SelfieSunday – is all about student profiles to show the wide range of roles and experiences that apprenticeships can offer.

Stephen Hepworth, Managing Director of Independent Training Services (ITS) Ltd., said: “We’re looking forward to National Apprenticeship Week, as it allows us to engage with individuals and businesses to spread information about apprenticeships, traineeships and our adult-focused courses. We will showcase the success of our former apprentices and the employers that embrace the training programmes.

“Our aim is to inspire and bring together our expertise in commercial training, workforce development and apprenticeships. We are well-placed to make a real difference to individual students and businesses alike."

As a registered charity, our profits are reinvested to continually improve our facilities and resources. This and the broader resources and support of our parent organisation, Barnsley College gives us the ability to be both flexible and responsive in meeting the needs of students, employers, and the broader community and achieve our combined vision of Transforming Lives.

Our comprehensive portfolio includes accredited end-user IT, business, and employability skills courses for individual students, alongside apprenticeships and workforce development for local, regional, and national employers.

From apprenticeship programmes designed to progress current and new employees, to specialist professional courses covering a wide range of employability and business skills, job roles and sectors, we focus on delivering quality education that Transforms Lives.
