On Friday 1 April 2022, the Apprenticeship Minimum Wage will increase from £4.30 to £4.81 per hour and all employers will need to ensure that wages for current apprentices are changed to reflect the new legal requirement.

The National Minimum Wage for apprentices applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For all other apprentices, the National Minimum Wage appropriate to their age applies.

The following wages will also increase on Friday 1 April 2022:

 

Current hourly rate until Thursday 31 March 2022

New hourly rate from Friday 1 April 2022
