“I recently relocated to Barnsley and was keen to work for a local employer, make friends and kick-start my career.

“My favourite modules as part of the course were those around Safeguarding and Health and Safety as I found them really interesting. I also knew it would be really beneficial to understand these topics if I were to work in the Mental Health sector.

“Once I had completed my course, the managers told me how impressed they were at my commitment to the course and, coupled with my experience in the hospitality sector, offered me the role of Catering and Dining Room Assistant.”
