Steve Hepworth - Managing Director

Steve has led ITS since September 2019 and has played the main pivotal role in growing ITS into a high performing national training provider. Working closely with the Board of Trustees and leadership team at Barnsley College Steve has steered ITS to maintaining Ofsted ‘Good’ inspection grade, achieving outstanding financial health and achieving excellent outcomes for all learners and apprentices which has improved Significantly since joining ITS. Steve has over 20 years experience, working in further education colleges and the private training sector from teaching, quality to senior leadership roles driving growth and performance. 

Steve has built a number of high performing teams delivering apprenticeships, adult courses, higher education and commercially funded courses. He also has an excellent track record in the delivery of European funded projects aimed at getting people into employment, upskilling employees and supporting employers. His main passion is the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning, leading to real impact for learners and employers. He also really enjoys meeting employers, understanding their vision and looking at how training can add real value to their ongoing development and objectives.

Steve is also a member of the Senior Management Team at Barnsley College.
