Lee Carton - Adult Skills Manager

Lee joined us to further develop our Adult Skills Team, having worked in training and development for over 15 years in both the welfare to work and apprenticeship sectors, managing and developing teams to deliver an outstanding service.

With a background in recruitment, sales and operations, Lee understands the needs of employers, how to support recruitment and how to match candidates to generate successful outcomes.

Serving clients in South and West Yorkshire, Lee and his Adult Skills team design and implement bespoke Sector Based Work Academy Programmes, in partnership with employers and provide students with new skills, nationally recognised qualifications and a guaranteed interview that provides a pathway to career success.

No two days are ever the same for the Adult Skills team; Lee thrives in our fast-paced environment, loves meeting new people and is a natural problem solver.

Leading the Adult Skills team, Lee takes overall responsibility for directing the teams focus and performance; from teaching and learning, funding and contract performance to meeting the requirements and expectations of awarding bodies, employers and learner expectations.  

He finds his role extremely rewarding and is very proud of his team and the amazing contribution they make towards our collective vision of Transforming Lives.

Lee actively engages with the jobcentre and employers within the region to design and implement Sector Based Work Academy Programmes, that meet the needs of employers, whilst upskilling our learners and improving their employment prospects.  

Lee is passionate about delivering high quality training, that is designed with the employer and learner in mind, and assists the Jobcentre in finding sustainable employment for those struggling to enter the labour market.
