This course is suitable for applicants 14 and over. It is ideal for anyone who seeks to improve their knowledge of equality and diversity and apply it within the workplace.

By the end of this course, students will understand equality and diversity in society, in the community and in the workplace.

• Equality and diversity in society:
  • What is meant the by the term ‘equality’
  • The damaging effects of stereotyping and labelling
• Equality and diversity in the community:
  • The extent of diversity that exists within a community
  • The benefits of promoting a culture of equality and diversity
• Equality and diversity in the workplace:
  • How equality and diversity can be promoted and maintained by employees
  • The benefits of having a dynamic, diverse workforce

This course can be delivered remotely or in a classroom environment, depending on your requirements.

If learning remotely, candidates will require the following equipment for distance learning:

• PC or laptop with a microphone and speakers (a webcam is preferred but not essential)
• Access to the internet and web browser application (e.g. Google Chrome)
• An email account for file sharing
