Understanding Environmental Sustainability Level 2 Certificate
Course Overview
Understanding Environmental Sustainability Level 2 Certificate
Since 1990, the world has lost approximately 178 million hectares of forest. With an estimated 45% of land-based carbon stored in trees and soil, this loss has a significant impact on the Earth’s atmosphere. As a result, it is increasingly important that individuals develop a deeper understanding of how to take sustainable action to help protect the planet.
This course provides an introduction to the principles of sustainable development, alongside key topics such as community sustainability, energy management, and the role of social responsibility in business practices. Learners will also explore waste management principles, sustainable transport, and how sustainability can be applied in everyday settings, including the adoption of zero-waste approaches.
By the end of the course, learners will have a broader understanding of environmental responsibility and practical strategies that can be implemented to support more sustainable living and working practices.
