Payroll Administrator Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship

The Level 3 Payroll Administrator Advanced Apprenticeship will equip you with the skills to manage payroll functions within organisations, whether in-house, a payroll bureau, or an accounting practice. You will support clients and employees with payroll services, working within HR or Finance teams, and develop expertise to work across various sectors while providing essential customer service and business awareness.

Course Content

  • Undertake awareness activities to identify the business model and the sector in which it is operating

  • Gather payroll-related information

  • Create payroll records

  • Process payroll data and comply with payroll-related statutory and contractual obligations

  • Adhere to organisational internal reporting deadlines and obligations using agreed systems and processess

  • Communicate professionally and effectively with stakeholders internal and external to the payroll function, identifying the appropriate communication media for each situation.

  • Demonstrate in all actions and interactions the professional ethical standards relevant to the payroll profession, Provide information, support and guidance

  • Identify the problem-solving techniques that apply in a given situation taking ownership through to resolution, escalating complex situations where appropriate

  • Apply the effective and appropriate workplace systems and processes in line with organisational requirements within the constraints of data protection legislation, such as, the Data Protection Act

  • Practice guided continuous self-learning and professional development to maintain and develop knowledge and skills in a profession that is constantly changing, for example through workplace learning, research and/or training courses

How much does the course cost?

There is no cost to being an apprentice. All costs associated with your apprenticeship, including the cost of training and your salary, will be paid by your employer. Funding value £10,000.

Course Content

  • You will need to find an employer willing to employ you as an apprentice. Please see our apprenticeship vacancies for the latest opportunities. Please be aware, individual employers will set their own entry requirements and selection criteria for their apprenticeship job role.

Workplace assessment including observations, questioning and assignments. End-point Assessment (EPA) is a situational judgement test and a professional discussion.

Ability to learn on online with a laptop would be an advantage.
