Lead Practitioner in Adult Care Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship

The Level 4 Lead Practitioner in Adult Care Higher Apprenticeship will prepare you to guide and inspire colleagues to make a positive impact on individuals facing physical, emotional or social challenges. You will develop specialist skills in areas such as care assessment, rehabilitation and assistive technology. This apprenticeship will equip you to lead within a care team, promoting a values-based culture and enhancing the quality of care at an operational level.

Course Content

You will learn the following subjects:

  • Key legislation and process around safeguarding

  • Promoting of dignity and human rights

  • Legislation and ethical frameworks for confidentiality

  • Principles of assessment and outcome-based practice, goals and aspirations for own goals and personal development

  • Developing sustained professional relationships

  • Contribute to quality assurance and principles of risk management

Course Fees and Funding

How much does the course cost?

There is no cost to being an apprentice. All costs associated with your apprenticeship, including the cost of training and your salary, will be paid by your employer. Funding value £7,000.

Course Content

  • You must achieve Level 2 English and Maths prior to completing the End-point Assessment (EPA). If you don't already hold Level 2 English and Maths, this content will be blended into the study programme (if it is required).

  • You must be at least 16 years of age.

  • You will need to find an employer willing to employ you as an apprentice. Please see our apprenticeship vacancies for the latest opportunities. Please be aware, individual employers will set their own entry requirements and selection criteria for their apprenticeship job role.

Workplace assessment including observations, questioning and assignments. End-point Assessment (EPA) is a situational judgement test and a professional discussion.

You will need access to a laptop and the internet.
