First Aid for Mental Health Award Level 2

The Level 2 First Aid for Mental Health Highfield Award will equip you with the skills needed to assist with mental health issues in the workplace. You will study key topics such as mental health awareness, first response support, and the principles of mental health first aid.

This qualification will prepare you to offer initial support to individuals in need, though it does not qualify you to diagnose or treat mental health conditions.

  • Underpinning knowledge and understanding in relation to the principles of first aid for mental health.

  • Recognising mental ill health in self and others.

  • Supporting mental wellbeing in the workplace.

  • Understanding how to promote a wellness culture in the workplace.

  • The importance of resilience and self-care for first aiders for mental health.
