Security, Sector-based Work Academy Programme (SWAP)

I became a security officer with Constant Security just over a year ago, after completing a Sector-based Work Academy Programme (SWAP) with ITS. 

I had no previous experience within the Security sector but was looking to try something new that involved customer service (having previously worked in retail).

I originally popped into the job centre to find out what support was available and found out that ITS offers several different courses with guaranteed job interviews at the end. 

They were brilliant from start to finish; they provided the training, arranged a guaranteed job interview, and paid for the SIA licence. I would highly recommend anyone who is considering working in the security industry to enrol with ITS. 

Working in Security is a varied and challenging role and with so many career options available; I work at Sheffield Hallam University, but once you are qualified, there is something to suit everyone.
