This is a great opportunity to gain a Hospitality qualification and join a company with a growing number of Aparthotels located in prime locations, this vacancy being in Manchester City.


Nature of the Job

Welcoming of clients and service as well as invoices of individual clients or group clients.  Ensures the best possible relationship is maintained with the hotel guests from the moment a reservation is made, during check-in, during their stay and at check-out.

Be an integral part of the team in setting and achieving the overall hotel objectives.

Duties will include:

  • To maintain a high level of awareness of current hotel operations to be able to deal with telephone enquiries efficiently
  • To answer telephones promptly and correctly to maximise business and minimise guest frustration
  • To have a full understanding of Brand standards and all areas of operation throughout the hotel
  • Understand the hotel fire and bomb procedure and act as a competent person in the event of an emergency. To fully understand the security procedures throughout the hotel.
  • To ensure the product quality standards are met in all area’s of the hotel as it relates to the appearance, levels of maintenance and cleanliness.
  • To deal with cash, cheque and credit card transactions in accordance with the hotel policy and report any discrepancies immediately to the Guest Service Manager
  • To have excellent personal presentation and adhere to the company standards of appearance at all times
  • To maintain high levels of energy, enthusiasm and commitment to every task undertaken
  • To have a flexible approach to the hours you are required to work

Occasional Duties

  • To attend any relevant meetings or training course as requested.


Training to be provided

Full training and support will be provided.

As part of this apprenticeship you will gain your Hospitality Team Member Level 2 qualification which will be delivered entirely at the place of work, both on and off the job by Independent Training Services. The apprenticeship standards also include functional skills qualifications in Maths and English when required.

Number of Vacancies: 1

Weekly Hours: 40 hours a week - 3 days on 3 days off working 7am -7pm/7pm -7am - This does require night shifts (so applicant will need to be 18+)

  • Will be required to work weekends and Bank Holidays.
  • Will be required to cover certain shifts in case of staff emergencies and related shortages.

Training Wage:  £188 per week
