Heseltine Bray & Welsh Solicitors are seeking an administrative assistant to join their team. You must have the ability to multitask whilst managing administrative support is essential. The ideal candidate for this role is resourceful, organised and have a caring telephone manner due to the nature of the department.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • To prepare mail and enclosures for dispatch
  • To arrange for all copying and scanning to be completed
  • To attend to clients both in person and on the telephone, providing support to customers in a professional and friendly manner
  • Ensure confidentiality of all of the firm's and clients documentation and information
  • Undertake file management 
  • Make appointments, arrange meetings and to maintain an up to date computer diary for Legal Advisers.
  • Provide support to secretaries and Legal Advisers as required.
  • Undertake any specific training when required to do so and overall have a responsibility towards self-development.

Apprentices will achieve the L3 Administrator qualification prior to End Point Assessment (EPA). 


Apprenticeship standards require apprentices to participate in a minimum of 20% off the job training during paid working hours, this will include time spent studying with the training provider and workplace training. 


Apprenticeship standards are assessed through an end point assessment (EPA), the EPA commences once the apprentice, employer and tutor all agree that the apprentice is ready and consists of 3 elements: 

  1. Synoptic end test 
  2. Portfolio 
  3. Reflective discussion 


The apprenticeship outcome will be graded as a pass, merit or distinction.

Salary: £154.80 per week

Weekly Hours: 36 Hours per week. Monday to Friday 09.00 - 17:15pm (1 hour lunch break).
