Independent Training Services

The role will primarily be based within their administration office reporting to a senior member of the administration team. The role is both challenging and varied and will initially include dealing with both internal and external communication, updating own and customer database and general office administration management duties.

 

The role incorporates all general administration duties within the Asbestos and Compliance Service Department of MCP.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Updating excel spreadsheets
  • Call handling
  • Answering customer queries
  • Communicating with clients at all levels confidently both face to face and over the phone
  • Scanning and electronic filing
  • Updating client KPIs
  • Assist with works planning
  • Day to day general administration management

The role also involves interaction with site based staff, health and safety and finance teams.

 Desired skills

  • Computer literate, confident IT user and comfortable at using Excel
  • Strong organizational skills 

Personal qualities

  • The successful candidate must be able to cope with working in a busy, lively office where demands can be high
  • They will also need to have a confident telephone manner and be able to communicate with both internal staff and customers
  • Asbestos management is a highly regulated area of work, and so attention to detail is of upmost importance

Desired qualifications

  • GCSE or equivalents at grade 4 or above in English and maths. 5 GCSE or equivalents at grade 4 or above in total.

Apprentices will achieve the L3 Administrator qualification prior to End Point Assessment (EPA).

Apprenticeship standards require apprentices to participate in a minimum of 20% off the job training during paid working hours, this will include time spent studying with the training provider and workplace training.

Apprenticeship standards are assessed through an end point assessment (EPA), the EPA commences once the apprentice, employer and tutor all agree that the apprentice is ready and consists of 3 elements:

  • Synoptic end test
  • Portfolio
  • Reflective discussion

The apprenticeship outcome will be graded as a pass, merit or distinction.

Number of vacancies: 1

Salary: £270.00 per week 

Weekly Hours: 45 hours per week. Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm 

(the hours are based on the candidate being over 18)
